Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Wednesday referred to as on all regional actors to play a job in reaching lasting peace within the Palestine-Israel battle.

Addressing a press convention along with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in Ankara, Hakan Fidan mentioned a mandatory platform must be developed to debate complete peace talks.

He added that a global peace convention, already proposed by Türkiye, could be the suitable platform, which is being mentioned with mates and allies.

Criticizing the EU’s method to Palestine-Israel battle, Fidan mentioned: “Due to collective position taken by the EU, unfortunately, it does not want to hear the term ‘cease-fire’ (in Gaza).”

Türkiye doesn’t need the developments in Gaza to show right into a battle that can have an effect on different international locations within the area, he added.

This week the Israeli military has expanded its air and floor assaults on the Gaza Strip, which has been beneath relentless airstrikes for the reason that Palestinian group Hamas launched a shock offensive towards Israel on Oct. 7.

The Turkish overseas minister mentioned “there cannot be different standards for Ukraine and Palestine” and “if we want a fair world, we must always act with integrity and consistency.”

He shared that an settlement had been reached for the evacuation of almost 500 foreigners from Gaza, and “negotiations are currently ongoing to include the Turkish citizens as well.”
