Türkiye busted a global felony group Comanchero, arresting 37 suspects in Istanbul, mentioned the nation’s inside minister on Thursday.
The worldwide crime group Comanchero, primarily based in Australia and led by Hakan Ayık (REIS), which operates globally, has been dismantled throughout operations in Istanbul, Ali Yerlikaya mentioned on X.
As a results of the operations, 37 suspects had been captured, Yerlikaya added.
“We will not pardon organized crime gangs, drug dealers. Regardless of their scale, we will dismantle organized crime groups and bring them to justice.”
Providing additional particulars concerning the group, Yerlikaya talked about that the so-called chief of the worldwide organized crime group, Mick Hawi, was killed in 2018.
Under the management of Mark Douglas Buddle, the felony group continued to interact in numerous felony actions globally, together with drug trafficking, homicide, armed theft, arson, and kidnapping.
Buddle was apprehended in Northern Cyprus in 2022 and extradited to Australia.
Hakan Ayık and Duax Hohepa Ngakuru, two of the group members, took over the management and continued their felony actions.
