Türkiye rescued 55 irregular migrants within the Aegean Sea after Greek authorities pushed them again into its territorial waters, the Turkish Coast Guard stated Friday.
Twenty-two had been rescued from a rubber boat off Datça district in Muğla province and 33 off Aydın province, the Coast Guard Command stated.
The migrants had been taken to the provincial migration administration directorates.
Türkiye and world rights teams have repeatedly condemned Greece’s unlawful observe of pushing again asylum seekers, saying it violates humanitarian values and worldwide legislation by endangering the lives of weak migrants, together with girls and youngsters.
