Turkish central bank hikes key policy rate by 250 bps to 42.5%

The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) on Thursday hiked its benchmark coverage charge by 250 foundation factors within the seventh consecutive rise beneath the brand new governor and shift in coverage making.

The central financial institution raised its one-week repo charge to 42.5% from 40%.
