Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani on Tuesday talked over cellphone to debate a framework settlement offered to Israel and Hamas for cease-fire within the Gaza Strip, in response to Turkish diplomatic sources.
Fidan, the sources mentioned, emphasised Türkiye’s assist for the proposed settlement.
The deal, being mediated by the U.S., Egypt and Qatar, requires finish to the battle that began final October, and the discharge of captives in Gaza and Palestinian prisoners in Israel.
