Internal Affairs Minister Ali Yerlikaya introduced the profitable seize of Eric Schroeder, wished on an Interpol Red Notice and head of an organized crime group, in the course of the Kafes-25 operation in Istanbul. As revealed by Yerlikaya, Schroeder was allegedly concerned in managing drug commerce actions in Hamburg. He was recognized as Joseph Johannes Leijdekkers, a global drug trafficker, accused by German authorities of trafficking substantial quantities of unlawful substances. This included 784 kilograms (1,728.42 kilos) of marijuana and 154 kilograms of cocaine throughout 24 incidents. Moreover, he was implicated in a container theft containing 1.1 tons of cocaine alongside members of the Hells Angels bikies armed legal group. Investigations revealed his involvement in cash laundering operations inside Europe.
Expressing his resolve through social media, Yerlikaya underscored the dedication to pursue and seize members of worldwide organized crime syndicates and narcotics traffickers. He emphasised that no matter their scale or designation in legal bulletins, these teams disrupting public peace is not going to discover any sanctuary and might be dropped at justice.
