Türkiye rescued 211 irregular migrants within the Aegean Sea after Greek authorities pushed them again into Turkish territorial waters, authorities mentioned on Friday.
The coast guard items rescued the irregular migrants from a rubber boat off Cesme, Dikili, Karaburun, and Menderes districts within the western province of Izmir, the Turkish Coast Guard mentioned in a press release.
Separately, 201 irregular migrants had been apprehended whereas touring in a rubber boat in the identical space, the Coast Guard mentioned.
In Balikesir, 123 irregular migrants of Afghan nationality had been apprehended in an operation with unmanned aerial autos and gyrocopters, a rotary wing and propeller plane.
Also, in Canakkale, 41 irregular migrants, together with 12 kids, had been apprehended.
In Afyonkarahisar in western Türkiye, 12 irregular migrants had been apprehended, and 133 extra had been apprehended within the southeastern province of Sanliurfa.
Additionally, 36 irregular migrants had been apprehended within the northeastern province of Kars.
Irregular immigrants had been handed over to native immigration authorities for deportation.
Türkiye and international rights teams have repeatedly condemned Greece’s unlawful observe of pushing again asylum seekers, saying it violates humanitarian values and worldwide legislation by endangering the lives of susceptible migrants, together with girls and kids.
