US strongly condemns North Koreas transfer of ballistic missiles to Russia

US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan spoke along with his South Korean counterpart Chang Ho-jin on Tuesday about North Korea’s rising army cooperation with Russia.

“The two officials condemned in the strongest possible terms the DPRK’s transfer of ballistic missiles to Russia and Russia’s use of these missiles against Ukraine,” the White House mentioned in an announcement, referring to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, North Korea’s official title.

In the telephone name, “they noted that the transfer and use of these weapons increases the suffering of the Ukrainian people, violates multiple UN Security Council resolutions, undermines the global non-proliferation regime and has significant security implications for Europe, the Korean Peninsula and the Indo-Pacific region,”, it added.

Sullivan and Chang dedicated to sustaining shut cooperation in help of Ukraine and shut collaboration on shared safety challenges to bolster peace and safety throughout the Indo-Pacific area and across the globe.

Previously, the US mentioned that Russia used ballistic missiles equipped by North Korea in a collection of assaults on Ukraine in the course of the New Year vacation and is engaged on brokering one other take care of Iran for extra arms.

North Korea has been below a UN arms embargo because it first examined a nuclear bomb in 2006.
