A Korean Air Lines aircraft clipped a Cathay Pacific Airways plane at New Chitose Airport on Japan’s northern island of Hokkaido on Tuesday, a Korean Air official stated.
The accident occurred when the Korean Air aircraft was getting ready for take-off, the airline official stated.
No accidents have been reported, Japanese broadcaster NTV stated.
An airport spokesperson was not instantly obtainable for remark.
Earlier this month, at the least 5 coast guard crew died whereas all 379 passengers from a Japan Airlines aircraft have been rescued after a collision between two plane induced an explosion at Tokyo’s Haneda airport.
Flight 516, a business aircraft from Hokkaido in northern Japan, caught fireplace on the runway and finally burnt out fully.
