At least 25 individuals have remained in custody in connection to the Santa Maria Church assault, with a further 9 suspects launched beneath judicial management, the Turkish justice minister mentioned on Friday.

On social media, Yilmaz Tunc outlined the developments within the ongoing investigation into the deadly assault which occurred throughout a service on the Santa Maria Church in Istanbul.

Among the suspects apprehended, Tunc highlighted the alleged Daesh/ISIS members Amirjon Khliqov and David Tanduev, who had been concerned within the incident. The 25 suspects face prices of “membership in a terrorist organization” and “qualified intentional homicide.”

The minister additionally famous that the judicial authorities have launched 9 others beneath judicial management, signaling the continuance of a complete authorized inquiry into the matter.
