Turkish court remands 7 suspects detained for selling information to Israeli spy agency

A courtroom in Istanbul on Monday remanded in custody seven out of 9 suspects who have been detained for transferring data to the Israeli spy company Mossad from Türkiye, judicial and safety sources instructed Anadolu.

In courtroom, seven out of the 9 suspects, who gave statements to the general public prosecutor, have been remanded, whereas two have been referred to a prison choose with a request for judicial management measures, mentioned the sources, who requested to not be named as they weren’t approved to talk to the media.

The Turkish Intelligence Organization (MIT) had decided that Mossad was amassing biographical data, doing reconnaissance, picture and video documentation, dwell monitoring and putting in monitoring units by way of non-public detectives in Türkiye.

The MIT and the Security Directorate General carried out joint operations in Istanbul and the Aegean Izmir province to nab the suspects.

In simultaneous operations, police captured seven of the 9 suspects sought with warrants. Two of them have been arrested earlier.
