U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated on Friday that an offensive on the southern Gaza metropolis of Rafah would danger “further isolating” Israel and harm its long-term safety.
Speaking as he departed Israel, Blinken advised reporters he had “candid conversations,” referring to conferences with officers together with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
A navy floor operation in Rafah “risks killing more civilians. It risks wreaking greater havoc with the humanitarian assistance. It risks further isolating Israel around the world and jeopardizing its long-term security and standing,” Blinken stated.
