The Council of Europe (CoE) adopted the world’s first-ever legally binding treaty on guiding using synthetic intelligence (AI) after international ministers of 46 member-states voted on Friday.

“With this new treaty, we aim to ensure a responsible use of AI that respects human rights, the rule of law and democracy.”
