China’s Zheng Qinwen received an Olympic gold in ladies’s tennis on the Paris 2024 Games on Saturday.
Zheng, 21, beat Croatia’s Donna Vekic 6-2, 6-3 in straight units in ladies’s singles gold medal match at Court Philippe-Chatrier.
On Thursday, Zheng received towards Polish high seed in ladies’s tennis and Paris 2024 favourite Iga Swiatek to have proceeded to the ultimate.
Swiatek beat Slovakian Anna Karolina Schmiedlova to take an Olympic bronze Friday.
Zheng has turn out to be the primary Asian-born tennis participant to win an Olympic gold in singles, and this marked China’s sixteenth gold medal to high the Paris Games’ medal desk.
The Paris 2024 will finish on Aug. 11.
