At least 24 folks died after their boat sank off the coast of Comoros Islands, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) mentioned on Monday.
The UN company mentioned ladies, kids, and infants had been among the many victims of the incident.
The IOM mentioned the boat was intentionally capsized by traffickers between Anjouan and Mayotte on Friday night time.
The UN company citing survivors mentioned the boat carried round 30 folks from totally different nationalities, amongst them seven ladies, 4 minors aged six and two, and two infants.
Five survivors had been rescued by fishermen on Saturday morning, in line with the IOM.
