NATO chief Mark Rutte mentioned the army bloc determined to take “proactive measures” to counter Russia’s hybrid assaults towards allies.
The West has accused Russia of being behind a string of sabotage assaults on European soil geared toward deterring Ukraine’s backers from sending help to Kyiv.
“Allies are working very hard to make sure when it comes to sabotage, cyber-attacks, energy blackmail, that we take all the measures necessary to counter that,” Rutte mentioned after talks with NATO international ministers.
“These include enhanced intelligence exchange, more exercises, better protection of critical infrastructure, improved cyber defense, and tougher action against Russia’s shadow fleet of oil exporting ships.”
NATO officers mentioned the alliance was engaged on a brand new technique to fight Russian and Chinese hostile actions for a summit subsequent June in The Hague.
