Ukraine mentioned on Saturday it had struck a storage and upkeep depot for long-range Shahed drones in Russia’s Oryol area, including that this had “significantly reduced” Russia’s potential to launch mass drone assaults on Ukraine.
Ukraine navy’s common workers mentioned in an announcement on Telegram the assault passed off on Thursday and was performed by Ukraine’s air power.
“As a result of the strike, a depot for storage, maintenance and repair of Shahed kamikaze drones, made of several protected concrete structures, was destroyed,” it mentioned.
“This military operation has significantly reduced the enemy’s potential in terms of conducting air raids of strike drones on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure.”
Moscow has not made any touch upon the assault.
Russia has repeatedly launched missile and drone assaults on Ukraine all through its 34-month invasion.
For the previous a number of months, Moscow has launched near-daily barrages of dozens of drones at Ukraine, hoping to wreck its infrastructure and put on down air defences leaving them much less in a position to shoot down missiles.
Ukraine’s air power mentioned earlier on Saturday it had downed 15 out of 16 drones launched by Russia in a single day, with the opposite one disappearing from radars.
