A Dutch KLM flight from Norway to the Netherlands veered off the runway throughout an emergency touchdown Sunday, marking the third such incident in 24 hours after a crash in South Korea left 179 individuals presumed useless.
“Flight #KL1204, a Boeing 737-800, veered off the right side of runway 18 after landing at Oslo Torp Sandefjord Airport. The flight diverted there shortly after takeoff from Oslo Airport (OSL),” in keeping with a press release issued by Royal Dutch Airlines and posted on X.
The pilots selected to divert the plane to Sandefjord Torp Airport, 110 kilometers from Oslo, for an emergency touchdown, the news portal ap7am.com stated.
Although the aircraft landed safely, it skidded off the runway shortly after and got here to a halt in a grassy space adjoining to the runway, the media outlet stated, citing a hydraulic system failure as the rationale for the incident.
It stated 176 passengers and 6 crew members on board weren’t harmed, whereas an investigation has been launched into the incident.
Earlier, an Air Canada flight was pressured to make an emergency touchdown at Halifax Stanfield International Airport after experiencing a malfunction with its touchdown gear on Saturday night time.
