A magnitude 5.6 earthquake struck Luzon within the Philippines on Monday, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) stated.
The quake was at a depth of 10 kilometres (6.2 miles), GFZ stated.
Philippine seismology company Phivolcs stated the tremor struck the northern city of Bangui in Ilocos province. The company was not anticipating injury, however stated aftershocks are doubtless from the shallow quake.
