UN: Nearly 13,000 civilians killed in Ukraine since start of war

The United Nations estimates that about 13,000 civilians have been killed for the reason that begin of the warfare in Ukraine, UN emergency aid coordinator Tom Fletcher instructed the Security Council on Tuesday.

According to knowledge from the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), at the least 12,910 civilian deaths in Ukraine – together with 682 youngsters – have been confirmed, and almost 30,700 had been injured between February 24, 2022 and March 31, 2025.

Fletcher added that the true toll is more likely to be far higher.

More than 170 civilians had been reported killed between the top of February and the top of March alone.
