The U.S. Coast Guard is finishing up search and rescue efforts for six folks lacking after a small airplane went down close to San Diego, California.
The twin-engine Cessna 414 plane took off from San Diego International Airport on Sunday and was headed to Phoenix, Arizona, earlier than the airplane crashed off the coast of Point Loma, based on media reviews.
“A debris field has been located,” Coast Guard Petty Officer Ryan Graves informed tv station NBC7. The water depth beneath that particles area, the place an oil slick was seen, is estimated to be 200 ft (60.96 meters), based on officers.
Authorities have no idea if the airplane tried to land on the water or if the plane instantly crashed into the Pacific Ocean. The National Transportation Safety Board is continuous its investigation.
