Azerbaijan condemns deadly suicide bombing in northwestern Pakistan

Azerbaijan on Saturday condemned a suicide bombing in northwestern Pakistan that killed a minimum of 13 navy personnel and injured a number of others, together with civilians, in response to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

“We express heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of brotherly Pakistan, and the families of the victims,” the ministry stated in a press release, calling the incident a “heinous” and “cowardly” act of terrorism.

Baku reiterated its “unwavering stance against all forms of terrorism,” stressing that such acts pose “a grave threat to peace and security.”

Earlier within the day, a minimum of 13 Pakistani troopers had been killed within the assault close to the Afghan border, one of many deadliest on safety forces in latest months.

A suicide bomber struck a convoy in Khadi Market, Mir Ali, concentrating on a bomb disposal car from the 22 Frontier Force Regiment. Three civilians, together with two kids and a lady, had been severely injured.
