Turkish Airlines mentioned on Friday it has determined to order 355 Airbus plane over the approaching decade because it seeks to develop into the world’s largest service.
“It was decided to purchase 355 aircraft from Airbus,” Turkish Airlines chief govt Bilal Eksi mentioned in a social media assertion.
“I wish good luck to our country and our company,” Eksi mentioned.
The Turkish flag service mentioned in a separate company submitting assertion that the purchases would made as a part of its “strategic plan” for 2023-2033.
But the airline and Airbus differed barely in regards to the particulars of the deal.
The Turkish Airlines assertion mentioned it had made agency orders for 230 jets and positioned buying rights for a further 125 plane.
Airbus mentioned in its personal assertion that Turkish Airlines had agreed to order 220 jets.
There was no fast clarification for the discrepancy in numbers.
