Türkiye’s protection and aerospace trade achieved a major milestone in 2024, recording $7.2 billion in exports, a 29% surge from the earlier 12 months, head of the Turkish Defense Industries Secretariat mentioned on Friday.
This achievement surpasses the 12 months’s protection export goal of $6.5 billion by 11%, Haluk Gorgun introduced on X platform.
Highlighting the trade’s strong worldwide efficiency, Gorgun mentioned: “Thanks to our international cooperation activities and contacts, our companies have become able to export not to a certain region but to almost the entire world.”
Gorgun emphasised the sector’s dedication to innovation and international outreach.
“We are determined to open new horizons, break records, and carry Türkiye’s technological power into the future, led by its defense industry products and advanced technologies,” he mentioned.
The spectacular development displays the worldwide demand for Türkiye’s protection and aerospace merchandise, pushed by superior applied sciences and strategic partnerships.
Looking forward, the trade’s focus stays on sustaining momentum and enhancing the export of excessive value-added merchandise. “In 2025, we will continue to work with the same determination to achieve a permanent increase in exports,” Gorgun pressured.
