At least 1,700 millionaires left Israel last year: Report

At least 1,700 millionaires are estimated to have left Israel up to now 12 months as a result of deteriorating financial circumstances within the wake of the Gaza battle, Israeli media stated on Tuesday, quoting a report.

Figures launched by Henley & Partners, a British-based world chief in immigration providers, and New World Wealth, a South Africa-based information intelligence agency, confirmed that 22,600 millionaires had been dwelling in Tel Aviv and Herzliya in central Israel in 2024, down from 24,300 in 2023.

“This means no fewer than 1,700 millionaires departed Israel over the past year,” Henley & Partners stated.

While the report didn’t specify causes for his or her departure, earlier Israeli media reviews instructed that many Israelis had left the nation following the Israeli battle on Gaza and its repercussions on the financial system and safety in Israel.

Last 12 months, world rankings company Fitch downgraded Israel’s credit score rating from “A+” to “A.”

Over 50,800 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza in a brutal Israeli onslaught since October 2023, most of them girls and kids.
