Türkiye’s industrial production slows down slightly in May

Industrial output in Türkiye was barely down yearly in May, the nation’s statistical authority introduced on Wednesday.

Industrial manufacturing was down 0.1% from a 12 months earlier, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) stated.

Among sub-sectors, the mining and quarrying index rose 2.2% in May and the electrical energy, gasoline, steam and air-con provide index climbed 0.9%, whereas the manufacturing index fell 0.4% in contrast with the identical month final 12 months.

While low-tech industrial manufacturing dropped 0.6% on a yearly foundation, medium-low industrial manufacturing was up 0.8% and medium-high industrial manufacturing rose 2.8%, whereas high-tech manufacturing narrowed by 18%, based on the info.
