Türkiye’s unemployment rate falls to lowest level in 11 years

Türkiye’s unemployment fee hit its lowest stage since November 2012, with 8.5% in October, in line with the official information shared Monday.

The unemployment fee declined by 0.5% in comparison with a month earlier, information from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) confirmed.

The variety of unemployed individuals aged 15 years outdated and over decreased by 163,000 to 2.96 million individuals in October 2023 in comparison with the earlier month.

The fee was estimated at 7.0% for males and 11.3% for girls, in line with the TurkStat.

The seasonally adjusted labor power participation fee was realized as 53.1%.

The unemployment fee was calculated at 8.4% in November 2012.

The variety of employed individuals elevated by 246,000 to 31.83 million in October in comparison with the sooner month. The employment fee occurred at 48.5%, with a rise of 0.3 share factors. In addition, this fee was 65.8% for males and 31.6% for girls.

The youth unemployment fee within the 15-24 age group was 16.3%, with a drop of 0.4 share factors in comparison with September. The fee was estimated at 13.8% for males and 21.0% for girls.
