WHO announces 1st prequalification of tuberculosis diagnostic test

The World Health Organization (WHO) on Thursday introduced that it granted prequalification to the molecular diagnostic check for tuberculosis (TB) referred to as Xpert®️ MTB/RIF Ultra.

It is the primary check for TB analysis and antibiotic susceptibility testing that meets WHO’s prequalification requirements, the UN company stated in a press release.

Tuberculosis is among the world’s main infectious illness killers, inflicting over 1,000,000 deaths yearly and imposing immense socioeconomic burdens, particularly in low- and middle-income international locations, it stated.
