CBF plans Brazilian Championship resumption in June after flood

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) introduced on Tuesday its choice to renew the Brazilian Championship in early June, following a brief suspension attributable to devastating floods in Rio Grande do Sul.

The southern state’s groups have been unable to play amid the heavy rains since late April, which claimed over 160 lives, left practically 100 individuals lacking, and displaced over 500,000 residents.

The matches of the three Rio Grande do Sul groups had already been suspended till May 27 because of the flood harm, together with to stadiums, coaching facilities, and airports.
