A Turkish soccer referee who suffered a surprising after-game punch by the hands of a group president earlier this week was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday.

Halil Umut Meler on Monday was punched within the face by Faruk Koca, president of Turkish Super Lig group MKE Ankaragucu, simply after a sport in opposition to Caykur Rizespor.
