Novak Djokovic revealed on Thursday that he was “poisoned” by the meals he consumed whereas detained throughout his visa saga on the 2022 Australian Open.

The Serbian 24-times main winner had his visa canceled forward of the match following days of drama over Australia’s COVID-19 entry guidelines and his unvaccinated standing.

The former world quantity was detained in a Melbourne lodge shared with asylum-seekers.

“I realized that in that hotel in Melbourne, I was fed with some food that poisoned me,” Djokovic informed GQ in an interview launched on Thursday.
