Apple, Samsung smartphone sales drop

Apple and Samsung‘s smartphone gross sales fell 4.1% and a pair of.7% respectively within the final quarter of 2024, in comparison with the identical interval of the earlier 12 months, in line with market analysis firm International Data Corporation (IDC).

Meanwhile, international smartphone gross sales elevated by 2.4% reaching 331.7 million items within the final quarter of 2024, in comparison with the identical interval of 2023.

In 2024, international gross sales grew for the sixth consecutive quarter, reaching 1.24 billion items, up 6.4% year-on-year.

It was famous that though Apple and Samsung continued to carry the highest two spots within the smartphone market in the course of the fourth quarter and all the 2024, their yearly gross sales decreased, and their market shares lowered on account of the growth of Chinese suppliers.

According to IDC information, Apple ranked first with a market share of 23.2% within the final quarter of final 12 months.

Samsung ranked second with 15.6% market share, whereas Chinese Xiaomi ranked third with 12.9%.

Chinese Transsion and Vivo shared the fourth place with 8.2% market share every.
