58 detained in corruption probe in Türkiye’s Adana

Some 58 officers have been detained on corruption costs throughout an ongoing anti-corruption operation in jap Adana.

The allegations have been associated to bribery, forgery of official paperwork and zoning corruption involving municipal authorities within the Seyhan and Çukurova districts.

The Financial Bureau groups, working below the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Branch of the Provincial Police Department, launched the operation in response to a detention order issued by the prosecutor’s workplace.

The motion started at daybreak, with authorities swiftly shifting to apprehend the people concerned and conduct searches at their addresses and inside municipal amenities.

Among the detainees are notable figures resembling former Çukurova Municipality Deputy Mayor Ali A., former zoning supervisor Hasan U., Seyhan Deputy Mayor, zoning managers, and several other municipal staff.

Following the well being checkups carried out on the forensic drugs unit, the suspects have been transported to police stations for additional investigation.

In a bid to assemble proof and confirm the extent of the alleged bribery, doc forgery, and zoning irregularities, additional investigation is underway.
