Economists expect 500 basis points hike in Türkiye interest rates

The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye is predicted to hike its coverage price by 500 foundation factors to 35% subsequent week.

According to Anadolu’s survey of 19 economists, the financial institution’s financial coverage assembly on Oct. 26 is predicted to lift rates of interest by 250 to 500 foundation factors.

The economists’ year-end coverage price forecast was 40%.

Last month, the financial institution elevated the rate of interest by 500 foundation factors to 30%.
