A cargo ship and a passenger ship collided within the Istanbul Strait on Friday, damaging each ships however leading to no casualties, mentioned officers accustomed to the matter.
The Kevalay Queen, a Ro-Ro/passenger ship spanning 147 meters (482 ft), and the cargo ship Captain Adam 1, with a size of 103 meters (338 ft), collided off Yenikapı, on the European facet of the Turkish metropolis.
There was no data obtainable on what number of passengers have been on the Kevalay Queen, however reportedly nobody was damage.
Following the incident, the Turkish Coastal Safety Directorate dispatched a swift rescue boat to the scene.
Both ships have been broken, however inspections of the ships discovered no environmental air pollution had resulted.
The ships have been anchored on the Ahırkapı Anchorage Area, on the southern coast of the European facet of Istanbul.
