Turkish police arrested a supervisor of an organized crime group working in Russia in Istanbul, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya mentioned Sunday.

Shamil Amirov, one of many managers of the “Thieves in Law” organized crime syndicate, was wished by Interpol with a blue discover of fraud and was caught in Istanbul throughout Operation Cage-15, Yerlikaya mentioned on the social media platform X, previously Twitter.

He mentioned that the Istanbul Anti-Organized Crime Branch Directorate discovered Amirov to be residing within the Sariyer district of the town.
