Türkiye rescued 68 irregular migrants within the Aegean Sea after Greek authorities pushed them again into Turkish territorial waters, the Turkish Coast Guard mentioned Thursday.
The Coast Guard Command mentioned models rescued the migrants from life rafts and rubber boats off the coast of Canakkale and Mugla provinces.
In the Ayvacik district in Canakkale, 36 irregular migrants of Afghan nationality had been rescued from a rubber boat, in keeping with a press release.
Separately, upon receiving details about a gaggle of migrants on a life raft and a rubber boat off the coast of Bodrum district in Mugla, groups had been despatched to the world.
A complete of 32 irregular migrants on the life raft and rubber boat, pushed again into Turkish territorial waters by Greek components, had been rescued.
Türkiye and world rights teams have repeatedly condemned Greece’s unlawful apply of pushing again asylum seekers, saying it violates humanitarian values and worldwide legislation by endangering the lives of susceptible migrants, together with ladies and kids.
