Anti-regime groups enter city center in Syria’s Aleppo

Anti-regime teams have entered town middle of Syria’s regime-held Aleppo, the pinnacle of a conflict monitor stated Friday.

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and allied factions “are now in the southwestern and western neighborhoods of Aleppo city,” stated Rami Abdel Rahman, who heads the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. Two Aleppo residents informed AFP they noticed gunmen of their neighborhoods, as panic gripped Syria’s second-largest metropolis.

The anti-regime armed teams, which had been advancing towards Aleppo from the west after clashing with regime forces for 3 days, broke via the protection strains within the Hamdaniyya, New Aleppo, and Zahra axes in Aleppo’s western countryside and entered town middle.

After three days of preventing in Aleppo and Idlib provinces, opposition teams are stated to have taken management of 400 sq. kilometers (154 sq. miles) of territory.

Following preventing carried on via the evening, opposition forces superior on the outskirts of town, seizing management of 70 settlements and strategic places.

Approximately 10,000 civilians fleeing the preventing have sought refuge in rural Idlib.
