Azerbaijan and Georgia held high-level discussions Thursday geared toward strengthening bilateral ties.

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili met in Azerbaijan’s capital Baku to debate political, financial and humanitarian facets of their nations’ strategic partnership in addition to regional points.

“The strategic partnership with Azerbaijan is very important for Georgia,” she mentioned throughout the press convention.

“There is a very strong friendship between our peoples. It is very gratifying that there is a strong partnership between our countries,” she added.

She emphasised Georgia’s precedence of integrating into European and Euro-Atlantic constructions, noting its standing as a European Union candidate nation and the necessity for joint efforts by each Georgia and the EU to realize this aim.

She additionally highlighted the significance of sturdy relations with neighboring nations, together with a strategic partnership with Armenia, and expressed Georgia’s readiness to make use of its potential to help peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
