Two undersea telecom cables linking Estonia and Finland have been repaired following suspected sabotage, Finnish operator Elisa introduced Monday.
“The repairs took place today,” Elisa’s safety chief Jaakko Wallenius informed AFP, as Finnish authorities investigated an oil tanker with hyperlinks to Russia for the suspected sabotage in December.
Finnish authorities are investigating the suspected sabotage of 4 telecoms cables and one energy cable on Dec. 25 simply weeks after different cables within the area have been severed.
