Chinese President Xi Jinping vowed to deepen his nation’s strategic partnership with Indonesia in a name with President Prabowo Subianto on Sunday, China’s official Xinhua News Agency reported.
Xi advised Prabowo the bilateral partnership had strategic significance and affect globally, as the 2 exchanged congratulations over the seventy fifth anniversary of diplomatic ties, Xinhua stated.
Beijing is attempting to steer different nations to hew to a widespread line towards U.S. import tariffs introduced by President Donald Trump.
Xi will go to Indonesia’s fellow Southeast Asian nations Vietnam, Malaysia and Cambodia from Monday, aiming to consolidate ties with a few of China’s closest neighbours as commerce rigidity escalates with the United States.
