Dozens of rockets have been fired at Israeli positions on Friday, in response to the Lebanon-based Hezbollah group.
Hamas ally Hezbollah has exchanged near-daily cross-border fireplace with the Israeli military since Oct. 7.
Hezbollah fighters focused “enemy artillery positions… with dozens of Katyusha rockets” the group mentioned in a press release, including it was “in response to the enemy’s attacks on… southern villages and civilian homes.”
The Israeli military mentioned “approximately 40 launches were identified crossing from Lebanese territory, some of which were intercepted.”
“No injuries were reported,” it mentioned, including that it had earlier intercepted two Hezbollah assault drones that had crossed from Lebanon.
Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency reported Israeli bombardment of a number of villages close to the border.
The violence has thus far killed a minimum of 363 folks in Lebanon, largely Hezbollah fighters but in addition together with a minimum of 70 civilians, in response to an AFP tally.
In Israel, the army says 10 troopers and eight civilians have been killed.
Tens of 1000’s of civilians have fled their houses on either side of the border.
