The high EU diplomat reiterated the bloc’s opposition to labeling the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees within the Near East (UNRWA) as a “terrorist organization.”

“We reject any attempts to label UNRWA as a ‘terrorist organization’. How can a United Nations agency be considered a terrorist organization?” Borrell mentioned at a joint news convention with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi in Brussels on the sidelines of the fifteenth assembly of the EU-Jordan Association Council.
