German ambassador to Israel on Friday slammed the Israeli forces’ assault on Anadolu photojournalist Mustafa Alkharouf within the occupied East Jerusalem.
“This is appalling and very worrying police behavior,” Steffen Seibert wrote on X, commenting on the assault on the Anadolu photojournalist.
He additionally revealed a video documenting the violent assault on Mustafa Alkharouf whereas on responsibility.
“In what way can it possibly serve the security of the citizens of Israel?” The German ambassador questioned.
The assault on Alkharouf occurred as a bunch of Palestinians gathered within the Wadi al-Joz neighborhood close to the Al-Aqsa Mosque for Friday prayers, because the restrictions imposed by the Israeli military on Friday prayers enter the tenth week.
Israeli police, who arrange barricades within the space, first pulled out their weapons at Alkharouf, who was masking the news, after which threw him on the bottom, beating and kicking him.
Alkharouf suffered extreme blows leading to accidents to his face and physique and was transported by ambulance to the Makassed Hospital in occupied East Jerusalem.
The incident comes amid the over two-month Israeli assaults on the Gaza Strip, killing no less than 18,787 Palestinians and dozens of journalists.
