The Red Cross stated the latest Hamas operation towards Israel can’t justify the “limitless destruction” of the Gaza Strip.
“Nothing can justify the horrific attacks Israel suffered last weekend… but those attacks cannot in turn justify the limitless destruction of Gaza,” the International Committee of the Red Cross stated in a press release.
The Red Cross stated that humanitarian organizations wouldn’t be capable of help greater than one million folks in Gaza who Israel has given 24 hours to evacuate to the south of the enclave.
“With a military siege in place, humanitarian organisations including the ICRC will not be able to assist such a massive displacement of people in Gaza,” ICRC stated in a press release.
“The needs are staggering, and humanitarian organisations must be able to increase aid operations.”
ICRC stated Israel’s name for the inhabitants to relocate south in 24 hours – coupled with a blockade that denies them entry to meals, water, and electrical energy – was “not compatible with international humanitarian law.”
The ICRC’s workplace in Gaza City obtained directions to relocate south, identical to the inhabitants there.
“We are extremely concerned for our colleagues in Gaza and their families,” the ICRC assertion stated.
