Hungary to veto Bulgarias Schengen entry unless it scraps gas transit tax

Hungary will veto Bulgaria’s entry into Europe’s passport-free Schengen Zone except it scraps a transit tax on Russian gasoline, the Hungarian Foreign Ministry mentioned in an announcement on Saturday.

Citing Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, it mentioned Hungary had made it clear to Bulgaria that it will veto the entry if the tax on Hungary’s foremost gasoline import route remained in place.
