Indonesia swears in Prabowo Subianto as country’s 8th president

Prabowo Subianto was sworn in as Indonesia’s eighth president on Sunday, succeeding Joko Widodo after 10 years in workplace and pledging to be a “leader for all Indonesians.”

The inauguration ceremony was held in Jakarta with international dignitaries in attendance.

Prabowo, who served as protection minister in Jokowi’s Cabinet, was elected in February after successful a landslide.
