Iran considers sending troops to Syria if Damascus requests

Iran will contemplate any request from its Syrian ally for troops to assist sort out a sweeping insurgent offensive within the north, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated on Tuesday.

“If the Assad regime asks us to send forces to Syria, we will study their request,” Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated in an excerpt from an interview revealed on his official Telegam channel.
