Iraqi PM Al Sudani slams Iranian strike as ‘clear aggression’

Iraq’s Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al Sudani criticized the latest Iranian missile strike in Irbil as a “clear aggression” in opposition to his nation and a harmful growth posing a risk to the robust bilateral ties.

UN ‘very involved’ about Iran’s strikes in Syria, Iraq

The U.N. stated Tuesday it’s “very concerned” about Iran’s reported ballistic strikes in Syria and Iraq because it urged “maximum restraint.”

“We once again urge maximum restraint and avoid any further escalation in a region that is … already volatile,” stated spokesperson Stephane Dujarric, including that this type of scenario can even result in a miscalculation by events with even worse penalties.

“The Secretary General further underlines that all security concerns between Iraq and Iran must be addressed through peaceful means, and dialogue in accordance with the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity, and good neighborly relations,” he added.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated late Monday that it launched ballistic missiles in opposition to positions of “anti-Iran terrorist groups” and their backers in Syria and Iraq.

The IRGC additionally claimed to have destroyed the native headquarters of the Israeli spy company Mossad in Irbil.

At least 4 individuals have been killed and 6 injured within the assaults, based on the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in northern Iraq.
