Israel claims to have struck Hamas weapons depot in southern Syria

Israel claimed Saturday to have struck a weapons storage facility for the Palestinian group Hamas in southern Syria.

In a short assertion, the military stated the weapons depot was hit within the Deir Ali space in southern Syria, claiming that the weapons had been saved to hold out assaults towards Israeli targets.

There was no remark from Syrian authorities or Hamas on the Israeli declare.

Israel has mounted a large air marketing campaign towards Syrian navy websites for the reason that downfall of the Bashar al-Assad regime in December.

The Israeli military occupied the demilitarized zone within the Golan Heights early December 2024, violating the 1974 Disengagement Agreement with Syria, in a transfer that expanded Israel’s management over the territory, most of which it has occupied for the reason that 1967 Middle East War.
